Although painful, these symptoms are generally not serious if only a small amount is ingested. Contact with the sap can also cause skin irritation.

2. Loosen the roots slightly if they are very compacted, taking care not to break them.
3. Place a layer of potting mix at the bottom of the pot, set the plant upright, then fill in around it without burying the crown.
