Return and Refund Policy

Right of Withdrawal and Exceptions In accordance with Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation), the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, such as plants. Consequently, the Customer does not benefit from a right of withdrawal for plant orders placed on the Site.

However, for products other than plants sold on the Site (non-perishable goods) and pursuant to Articles L.221-5 et seq. of the Consumer Code, the Customer has a period of fourteen (14) days from the date of receipt of the products to exercise their right of withdrawal and request an exchange or refund for any unsuitable product. Return shipping costs remain the responsibility of the Customer.

How to Exercise the Right of Withdrawal The right of withdrawal can be exercised by email at contact@plantandstories.com or by post addressed to Plant and Stories (at the address provided in Article 1 of these T&Cs) via an unambiguous statement expressing the will to withdraw.

Return Conditions Returns must be made in their original and complete condition (packaging, accessories, instructions, etc.) to allow for immediate resale. Damaged, soiled, or incomplete products will not be accepted. Plant and Stories will only process refunds once the returned products have been effectively received and their "as new" condition has been verified.

Refund and Exchange Process Exchanges (subject to stock availability) or refunds will be processed within fourteen (14) days of receipt by Plant and Stories of the products returned by the Customer, under the conditions provided for in Article L.221-24 of the Consumer Code.

Legal Warranties Products sold on the Site are covered by:

  • The legal warranty of conformity (Articles L.217-4 et seq. of the Consumer Code) for defective, damaged products, or those that do not correspond to the order.

  • The warranty against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code) resulting from a material, design, or manufacturing defect affecting the delivered products and making them unfit for use.

These warranties allow Customers to request a refund or replacement for non-compliant or defective products.

Claims and Verification To exercise these rights, the Customer must inform Plant and Stories in writing (email or mail) of the non-conformity or the existence of hidden defects upon discovery.

In the event of a proven lack of conformity or a hidden defect confirmed by Plant and Stories, the Customer may obtain a refund or replacement of the product concerned. Initial shipping costs will be refunded based on the invoiced rate, and return shipping costs will be reimbursed upon presentation of supporting documents.

Refunds or replacements for products deemed non-compliant or defective will be carried out as soon as possible, and at the latest within fifteen (15) days following the confirmation of the defect or non-conformity by Plant and Stories.
