Help and solutions:

Everything you need to know "Pixel" ceramic plant pot - 6 cm interior diameter

What material is the Pixel plant pot made of?

The Pixel planter is made entirely of ceramic, a natural material obtained by firing clay at high temperature.

Ceramics offer excellent resistance to variations in humidity and do not deform when in contact with water, unlike some materials such as untreated metal or raw wood.

Its weight provides welcome stability for small plants that might tip over in a container that's too light. The pixelated pattern is molded directly into the ceramic, ensuring its long-lasting durability.

Avoid violent impacts that could chip the edges, even though ceramic remains a robust material for normal daily use.

How do I plant my plant in this planter?

The installation is simple: keep your plant in its original growing pot and slide the whole thing into the Pixel cachepot.

This method preserves the natural drainage of the growing pot while concealing the unsightly plastic. You can then easily remove the plant to water it over a sink.

Check that your plant pot is between 5 and 5.5 cm in diameter for an optimal fit. If the pot is slightly smaller, fill the space with clay pebbles or sphagnum moss to secure the plant.

Never repot directly into a decorative pot without a drainage hole: the water would stagnate at the bottom and cause the roots to rot in a few weeks.

Which plants are suitable for this small 6cm format?

This 6cm format is perfect for succulents, mini cacti, small cuttings that are rooting and young tropical plants.

Small plants appreciate a container proportionate to their size because a pot that is too large retains moisture for too long around roots that are still underdeveloped.

Echeveria, Haworthia, Crassula, and small Sedum thrive particularly well in this compact format. Cuttings of Pothos, Philodendron, or Tradescantia will also establish their first roots here before future repotting.

Be careful with fast-growing plants like Monstera: they will outgrow this size in just a few months and will require a larger pot.

How to prevent water from accumulating at the bottom of the planter?

Since the Pixel planter does not have a drainage hole, excess watering water remains trapped at the bottom if you do not drain it.

This stagnant water deprives the roots of oxygen and promotes the development of mold and root rot, the leading cause of death for houseplants.

After each watering, wait 15 minutes, then gently tilt the cachepot to drain the accumulated water. Alternatively, remove the plant from the pot, water over a sink, let it drain, then place it back in the cachepot.

Placing a thin layer of clay pebbles at the bottom of the cachepot creates a buffer space, but does not eliminate the need to empty the excess regularly.

What other accessories can be paired with this plant pot?

To create a cohesive set, combine several Pixel planters in different colors or pair them with pots with a clean design for an interesting contrast.

The pixelated style blends well with modern decor, a gamer's office, or a creative workspace where it adds a touch of originality without cluttering it up.

For the care of your mini plants, afine mist sprayerallows you to gently moisten the foliage.liquid fertilizerwith graduated pipette facilitates dosing for small volumes.

Avoid pairing this compact planter with large trailing plants, as this would visually unbalance the whole arrangement.

What is the difference between a cachepot and a pot with drainage?

A cachepot is a decorative container without drainage holes, designed to hold a plant pot. A pot with drainage holes allows water to escape directly.

The plant pot cover protects your furniture from water stains and hides unsightly plastic plant pots. It also offers flexibility: you can easily change plants without repotting.

The pot with drainage is best suited to gardeners who water generously or to plants sensitive to excess water, but requires a saucer and remains visible.

For succulents and cacti placed in the Pixel planter, the risk is limited if you water moderately and empty the excess. Tropical plants require more attention.

Pixel or plain plant pot: which one to choose for your plants?

A classic, plain planter fades into the background behind the plant and offers no visual interest of its own. The Pixel ceramic planter, however, is a decorative accessory in its own right, drawing the eye and creating a dialogue between the digital pattern and the natural plant. For plant parents who love to mix styles and create distinctive plant arrangements, this pixel pattern offers a unique and memorable look that's difficult to replicate with a generic planter.
